A Ray of success

TSydney Ray is ready to take the next step in her track and field career.

The 15-year-old, Grade 10 student at Notre Dame had an impressive Grade 9 season, placing seventh in the 1,500 and 10th in the 800 at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) meet.

This time around Ray is looking for a spot on the podium.

Irish finally triumph at Niagara Cup

The Notre Dame senior girls soccer team made sure the third time would be the charm Wednesday in the Niagara Cup AAA final at Youngs Sportsplex in Welland.

After losing the last two Niagara Cup finals to Holy Names from Windsor, the Fighting Irish finally got over the hump with a dominant 3-0 victory over the St. John Henry Newman Cardinals.
